I was driving around town this morning to survey the damage in the town and surrounding area. We were really lucky that there was no structural damage that I could see. The wind is still really high. The waves are still really high in some places. There was one downed tree that I know of in Reserve Mines but it was cleaned up by the time I made it there. The road was still blocked off though. There was also a leaning power poll in Dominion. The road was partially blocked off by the Needs store.
I have been hearing of massive damages around the province and have to say that in Glace Bay we were lucky. There are a few people that lost their power but no major structural damage except fallen branches. If anyone has any damage to report, please feel free to comment on Facebook or Twitter page. Also feel free to post your pictures.

It was brought to my attention this week that comparing Colette’s with Sweet Side of the Moon is like comparing apples and oranges. An unfair comparison. While I was only comparing the coffee, I now realize that Colette’s is not in business to sell their coffee but to sell their homemade food. I don’t know why I thought it was okay to compare the too eateries because they are too different. Sweet Side of the Moon is a cafe so you would expect better coffee.
I still stand by my Buzz Quality Report for Sweet Side of the Moon. They are still ten out of ten in my book but I would revise my low view of Colette’s coffee because in a pinch, when you are desperate for a taste of the bean to go with your breakfast, I would still take my coffee black.
No more rating coffee for me. I’m done. Finished with this reviewer thing. I mean, who do I think I am? Siskel and Ebert? I know they used to review movies but you get the picture.
