What does Butter Chicken taste like?

letsdothis1 · March 5, 2021 · Leave a Comment

If you ever wanted to taste the exotic taste of butter chicken in Glace Bay, now is your time. There is a new restaurant on the block, and one that is sure to distract you from the cornucopia of pizza shops around. Swagat, is a new Indian restaurant located in the basement of David’s Pizza in Glace Bay. You enter from the side doors into a quaint little restaurant with eat in, take out and delivery options available. Delivery is free on all orders over $20.

This week, I tried the butter chicken with basmati rice, and a side of butter naan bread. See picture below.

I was blown away by the quality of taste and spices melding together in my mouth. I had never tasted butter chicken before so this experience was completely new to me. Well, maybe not completely new. I have been addicted to samosas since 1997. I wasn’t prepared however for the new range of taste in my mouth with the butter chicken.

My experience with butter chicken makes me want to explore more options on the menu of Swagat, the little Indian restaurant that definitely could. See menu options below.

There is a new taste to eateries in Glace Bay, proving that we are becoming a multicultural town. Wait a minute, we have had a mining history in town that attracted many cultures coming to the area. We are a multicultural town. There is no maybe about it. Swagat Indian restaurant provides us with a prime chance to try out another culture’s cuisine.

I will be trying Swagat again, and I invite you all to explore the taste of India in Glace Bay. In these Covid times we should be supporting local businesses as much as we can. Why not check out for your self what butter chicken tastes like at Swagat restaurant. Your taste buds will thank you for it. Trust me, from taste buds that know.

I was also not paid for this review. The contents of this blog post are completely my own opinion. I just happened to like the butter chicken made at Swagat Indian Restaurant in Glace Bay. If you don’t like Indian food, or are allergic to chick peas, then you may want to stay away. For the rest of you out there interested in a different experience to the standard pizza, fried chicken, and fish, why don’t you give it a shot?

I thought Indian food would be expensive too, but it is reasonably priced for under the cost of a large pizza. Just $19.95 will get you the butter chicken, basmati rice, and butter naan bread. A relatively cheap meal in town with high cuisine tastes. I do recommend getting the naan bread as it is great for dipping in the sauce. Naan bread gives you a chance to mix your food to explore even more taste. Maybe next time I will try their samosas, as I am always interested in how different restaurants prepare them. It’s all about the taste for me, and the food here just tastes good.
